Piero Scherer (1980, Luzern) has been studying for his Master’s degree in Electroacoustic Composition at the Zurich University of the Arts since the summer of 2022. In his practice, he is deeply engaged with systems and networks, both of which have a remarkable influence on the disposition of technical means, sound material, formal concepts, composition processes, performative and reception modalities, are often singular and constantly in motion. Concrete manifestations of this engagement are evident in his collaborative working methods and the constantly changing instruments he employs in the creation of his works.

As a co-founder of the Rhizom Festival and the CB-Lab at the Rote Fabrik, he is committed to culturally sustainable projects that promote easy access to creation, knowledge transfer and exchange.
